Come Chanuukkah. Come Kwanza. Come all … to join the Who-riffic Holiday Extravaganza on 12.12.12 from 6 to 10 PM at Cabrito’s Mexican Bistro in Downtown San Jose.
This is event is off the Who! with performances by singing sensation Xavier Toscano, comedian-homie-writer Sqweeks Morales, local band Tehya, and party beats by DJ Joseph Z.
Bring your Who! Bring your Grinch! Bring your WTF Holiday Sweater!
At the door, donate gifts for youth and/or non-perishable food or $5. FOOD & GIFTS BENEFIT the Health Trust Holiday Food Basket and YOUTH 12-16 (Suggestions: gift cards, clothes, music, movies, games, holiday food items, baking supplies, etc.).

Feast on $2 Who-tacos and bring along the little Whogirls and little Whofellas, this event if for entire family.

09/27/12 San Jose PRIDE National Gay Men’s HIV Awareness Day Events Album slideshow. Proudly, Brix Night Club and Splash Video Dance Bar participated in the Santa Clara County STD & HIV Prevention and Control Program collaborated events in support and for awareness along with Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI), Project 4PLAY and n2men.org. Thank you everyone who participated and to the photographers Kat FitzGerald Art, Nic Caleb, and Sandeep Gill.
Club Papi Productions, DBI Beverage Inc., HP, and Symantec among others, the Board looks forward to the festival, and values all the 2012 partners who encourages the community to strive for more.
The Celebration is set to kick off on Saturday, August 18 at 12:00 PM at Discovery Meadow, located at West San Carlos St. and Woz Way in the Guadalupe River Park and Gardens in San Jose, Calif. 95110. Saturday is a “Community Day” highlighting local talent, vendors, food, and fun. This day opens with a Traditional Aztec ceremony and Danza performance by Tlaloc-Chalchihuitlicue of San Jose and encounter PRIDE’s 1st Community local artist sidewalk chalk event called Avenue of Art. Individual artists and groups interested in participating visit our chalk art site for details, as space is limited.
SATURDAY ENTERTAINMENT Headliner is singer, actor, dancer and philanthropist, Derek Jameson who recently released his debut album The Invention of Love and his upcoming horror film is Bloody Mary 3D. Saturday is hosted by Master of Ceremony Diamond John and Ms. Jeanne, San Francisco Comedian Carrie Avritt, and CHEER San Francisco.
SUNDAY ENTERTAINMENT Headliners feature Grammy Award Winning Singer and Tony Award Winning Actress Jennifer Holiday, the Dominican singing sensation Kat Deluna, and from the hit television show The Vampire Diaries Kat Graham sings her new single “Put Some Graffiti on Me,” and also performing are Circuit music sensations, DJ Tony Moran and performer Flava. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate the day of the Celebration.
New this year, along with various food, retail, art, crafts and informational booths, PRIDE presents a Health & Wellness Pavilion sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and the Health Trust. The pavilion includes community organizations offering information on nutrition, smoking, addiction and HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, and testing. Also PRIDES’s partnership with Breathe California created a $5000 grant to support the Smoking Cessation Ash Kicker courses in the spring, and the marketing of this year’s smoke free family friendly festival. There is a Fun Zone area with games and activities. Also, San Jose PRIDE and local leather organizations and specialists have collaborated on the return of Leather Land (a leather area) to the festival this year. Businesses, organizations, and artisans interested in participating are encouraged to apply today.
Friends of Pride donors are community members who donate at least $100 will receive a VIP PRIDE experience. Presenting Sponsor for $15,000, Platinum Sponsor for $10,000, Gold Sponsor for $5,000, Silver Sponsor for $2,500 and Bronze Sponsor for $1,000 are financial levels of sponsorship for the PRIDE Celebration. Also available are designated sponsorships for naming rights to the entrances, Leather Land, volunteer t-shirts and the Fun Zone.
